Contemporary Authors Has Been Added to the Databases Page

Find information about current writers of fiction, general nonfiction, poetry, and drama. The database also includes prominent print and broadcast journalists, editors, photojournalists, syndicated cartoonists, screenwriters, television scriptwriters, and other media people. This resource provides information on modern authors, including those who were active prior to 1960 and whose works continue to influence contemporary literature. This database has been made available through INSPIRE, a collection of academic databases and other information resources that can be accessed at no cost by Indiana residents. INSPIRE is a service of the Indiana State Library and is supported by the Indiana General Assembly through Build Indiana Funds, the Institute of Museums and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act and in partnership with Academic Libraries of Indiana.

Small Business Resource Center Has Been Added to the Databases Page

This database provides access to nearly 200 journals and magazines that cover all major areas of starting, operating and maintaining a business from financing, management, marketing, accounting, taxes and more. It also includes business plans. This database has also been made available through INSPIRE.

April 2009 Tip of the Month

If you need information on finding IRS publications and forms you might see our
How to Find Tax Forms Online research guide. The guide will show you where to find both state and federal tax publications. Although the library has some Indiana tax forms this may be a convenient way for you find the forms you need.

Events April 2009

Through June 15, 2009

Archetype: Future Designers Inspired by the Past will be on display outside Archives and Special Collections on the second floor and on the east side of the first floorof Bracken Library through June 15th. The exhibit that showcases student artwork inspired by pop culture and the expressive graphic style of the 60's.

This exhibit is in collaboration with Associate Professors Christine Satory and Sam Minor from the Department of Art, and junior visual communication majors. The exhibition is meant to allow students to display their artwork to inform and educate. Items to be featured from the Archives and Special Collections will be student publications; poetry; highlights from Robert Kennedy's Muncie visit; and graphic design from the 1960's.
