BuildingGreen allows you to access articles, case studies, reports, citations, and specs that will help building-industry professionals and policy makers improve the environmental performance and reduce the adverse impacts of buildings.

Free Trial for Human Relations Area Files: Archaeology

Human Relations Area Files: Archaeology contains 60,000 archaeological documents (books, journal articles, and dissertations) describing all aspects of prehistoric traditions. This cross-cultural database allows users to do keyword and subject search of all documents in the database. Human Relations Area Files: Archaeology is available from the Databases page. The trial ends May 31st.

Human Relations Area Files: Ethnography is a cross-cultural database that contains over 350,000 pages of information on all aspects of cultural and social life. It contains ethnographic and other documents describing cultural and social life (books, journal articles, and dissertations) that are compiled into culture profiles. February 27th

Before Middletown: Using Historical Archaeology to View Victorian Muncie will be presented by Christina Blanch of the Ball State Department of Anthropology at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in the Bracken Library Forum Room (BL225). The free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Alexander M. Bracken Library and the Center for Middletown Studies and is open to the public. Through March 31st

The Archives and Special Collections Research Center will celebrate Black History Month with an exhibit of photographs, documents, and other materials that tell the story of the Civil Rights Movement in Muncie. Bringing the Dream to Middletown: Muncie's Civil Rights Movement, 1955-1975 will focus on the struggle to make Dr. Martin Luther King's dream of a just society a reality in Middletown USA. The exhibit will highlight the contributions of key individuals and chart major events in the local movement.
