College Art Association Reviews Has Been Added to the Databases Page

College Art Association Reviews contains scholarly and critical reviews of studies and projects in all areas and periods of art history, visual studies, and the fine arts, providing peer review for the disciplines served by the College Art Association. Publications and projects reviewed include books, articles, exhibitions, conferences, digital and electronic productions, films, videos, and other works as appropriate. It also publishes peer-reviewed essays on these subjects, as well as on art education and policy, curatorial issues, and related topics.

English Short Title Catalogue Has Been Added to the Databases Page

The English Short Title Catalogue provides bibliographic records for serials, pamphlets, and other ephemeral material printed in English-speaking countries from 1473 to 1800. It is based on the collections of over 1,600 institutions world-wide. The database also includes lists of all kinds, notices, advertisements, slip-songs, election ephemera, and other single-sheet material.

Homeland Security Digital Library Has Been Added to the Databases Page

The Homeland Security Digital Library collection provides access to U.S. policy documents, presidential directives, and national strategy documents as well as specialized resources such as theses and reports from various universities, organizations and local and state agencies. The database includes current and historical documents, some as far back the late 1780's.

Naxos Music Library Has Been Added to the Databases Page

Naxos Music Library allows you access to over 170,000 tracks from 11,500 CD's. You can listen to whole CDs or individual tracks. You will find Classical music as well as six other genres including Jazz, Blues, World and Chinese music.

Free Trial for Smart Economist

Economists select and review the best and most relevant WP's (working papers) in economics, finance, and business. The database contains reports which provide practical highlights and detailed reviews of selected working papers. New reports constantly added. Smart Economist is available from the Databases page. The trial ends November 10th.

Free Trial for Science Direct

ScienceDirect provides electronic access to over 2,000 peer-reviewed journals, hundreds of book series, handbooks, and reference works. ScienceDirect boasts that it offers "more than a quarter of the world's scientific, medical and technical information online." Science Direct is available from the Databases page. The trial ends November 18th.

Free Trial for Play Index

Play Index covers every play of importance, from the Greek dramatists through contemporary playwrights, with access by age and cast requirements. The database contains citations to around 30,000 plays. Play Index is available from the Databases page. The trial ends December 31st.

Free Trial for Art Museum Image Gallery

Art Image Gallery is a rich digital resource of nearly 100,000 art images (and related Multi-media) gathered from the collections of more than 1.800 distinguished museums around the world. The database contains images of works from 3000 BC to the 20th century. More than 62,000 images will be added this month. Art Museum Image Gallery is available from the

Free Trial for Biography Reference Bank

Biography Reference Bank covers some 500,000 people. Information is updated regularly including links that provide the latest coverage from thousands of periodicals--full-text articles, book reviews, interviews, and more. Coming to Ball State: Freshman Life 101

An Archives and Special Collection Research Center exhibit entitled 30 Years of Renewing
Lives: Community Mental Health Services to Meridian Services
, will celebrate the 30th
anniversary of Meridian Services' mental health programs in Delaware, Henry, and Jay counties. The exhibit will trace Meridian's growth from 1976 to 2006 and will include publications, photographs, and artifacts from the Meridian Services Collection. 30 Years of Renewing Lives will be on display on the second floor of Bracken Library through November 3.
