Teacher Reference Center Has Been Added to the Databases Page

Teacher Reference Center provides indexing abstracts and some full-text for more than 270 teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators. Teacher Reference Center also has some full-text and has the FindIt feature which helps you to locate the full-text of articles.

Milton Bibliography Has Been Added to the Databases Page

This bibliography covers primary works and secondary sources (critical, biographical, allusions, quotations) related to British poet John Milton. It includes 13,464 entries covering works relating to Milton from 1624-1799. Also a subject guide is included for all materials.

Free Trial for the African American Experience

This is an African American Studies database covering a very broad range of topics, including history, biography, literature, arts, music, pop culture, folklore, business, slavery, civil rights, politics, sports, education, science & technology, and more. The database provides electronic access to related books, monographs, and primary documents. The African American Experience is available from the Databases page. The trial ends February 29th.

This is a Latino American Studies database covering a very broad range of topics, including arts & entertainment, folklore & customs, immigration, politics, law, civil rights, sports, business & labor, history, literature, religion, women, education, icons, music, science & medicine, and more. The database provides electronic access to related books and primary documents. The Latino American Experience is available from the Databases page. The trial ends February 29th.

February 2008 Tip of the Month

Next time you are in Bracken Library you might stop by the Bookmark Cafe, conveniently located on the East side of the lobby. A cup of coffee or some pastry might make your time in the library even more enjoyable. The cafe is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cafe also serves salad, sandwiches, and bottled beverages.

African-American Authors: Poetry, Prose, and Protest, will be on display on the 2nd floor of Bracken Library through March 3, 2008. This Archives and Special Collections exhibit will feature books, poetry, and pamphlets written by African-American men and women.
