Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy Has Been Added to the Databases Page

This database contains encyclopedia artices that focus on philosophical issues and arguments and discussions of topics in contemporary philosophy. Each entry is maintained and kept up to date by an expert or group of experts in the field. All entries and updates are refereed by the members of a distinguished Editorial Board before they are made public. The encyclopedia is a publishing project of the Metaphysics Research Lab at the Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI) at Stanford University.

Free Trial for Associations Unlimited

Associations Unlimited is the online version of Encyclopedia of Associations and is a directory of U.S., international, and local associations and non-profit agencies. Entries typically include the address, phone number, budget, number of members, narrative sections and other detailed information. Associations Unlimited is available from the Databases page. Access the entire range of Facts on File databases, which include many history research databases, as well as databases for careers, health topics, literary research, maps, and more. Free Trial for Issues and Controversies in American History

This database offers in-depth explorations of the great issues in American History, such as religious freedom in the colonies, Civil War Reconstruction, and women's suffrage. The content includes articles, primary source documents, biographies, timelines, images, statistical charts, and encyclopedia survey articles. Issues and Controversies in American History is available from the Databases page. The trial ends June 30th.

Free Trial for Oxford African American Studies Center

This databases allows online access to reference books on African American Studies published by Oxford University Press. It also includes biographies, timelines, images, primary source documents, maps, selected websites, charts, and tables. Oxford African American Studies Center is available from the Databases page. The trial ends June 15th.

Dedication to Steinbeck: The 1976 Exhibition Revisited

Dedication to Steinbeck: The 1976 Exhibition Revisited will be on display outside the Archives and Special Collections Research Center, Bracken Library 210, through May 31, 2006. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Dedication of Bracken Library and the University Libraries' Steinbeck Collection, the original exhibit from the dedication ceremonies is reconstructed. Begining June 14th

Middletown in the Good Old Summertime

Middletown in the Good Old Summertime will be on display outside the Archives and Special Collections Research Center, Bracken Library 210, beginning June 14. The exhibit highlights summer activities in Muncie--baseball, summer camps, the circus, family reunions, the county fair--and includes historic photographs and other items from the Middletown and Stoeckel collections.
