GrantSelect offers more than 10,000 funding opportunities. It is comprised of ten customized segments: Arts and Humanities, Biomedical and Health Care, Children and Youth, Community Development, PreK-12 Grade and Adult Education, International Programs, Operating Grants for Nonprofit Organizations, Faith-Based Grants, Scholarships & Fellowships, and Special Populations.

Public Administration Abstracts Has Been Added to the Databases Page

Public Administrations Abstracts indexes journals in areas related to public administration, including public administration research, public administration theory, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. Records are selected from many of the top titles within the discipline, including Public Administration Review, Public Administration Quarterly, and International Journal of Public Administration.

Urban Studies Abstracts Has Been Added to the Databases Page

Urban Studies Abstracts indexes journals in areas related to urban studies, including urban affairs, community development, urban history, and other areas of key relevance to the discipline. Records are selected from many of the top titles within the discipline, including Journal of Urban Affairs, Urban Studies, and Canadian Journal of Urban Research.

One of the many services offered by the Ball State University Libraries is laptop printing. Laptop users in the library may now send print jobs to the library printers. When you are ready to print either click on "BSU Libraries Laptop Printing" under "Quick Links" on the Student Virtual Library page or go to http://www.bsu.edu/libraries/laptopprint. If you are printing a .pdf, Word document, or picture, provide the file name, select the printer, and press the Print button. If you are printing a Web page, provide the URL. Visit the Reference Desk with questions or for printed instructions.

Shared Sacrifice: Scholars, Soldiers, and World War II, will be on display October 15, 2007 through January 04, 2008 outside the Archives and Special Collections, and Geospatial Resources and Map Collection on the second floor of Bracken Library. This exhibit will feature photographs, printed materials, letters, and wartime maps from Ball State University, soldiers from Muncie, life on the home front, and additional resources found in the Archives and the Geospatial Resources and Map Collection. Come see John Steinbeck scholar, Dr. Mimi Reisel Gladstein’s presentation, “John Steinbeck and WWII: Fighting to Serve His Country.” Dr. Gladstein is Professor of English and Theater Arts at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she has chaired both departments. The event is a part of the new Steinbeck Lecture Series founded by Dr. and Mrs. Tetsumaro Hayashi in honor of Dr. Richard W. and Mrs. Dorothy Burkhardt and Dr. John J and Mrs. Angeline R. Pruis, whose generosity has helped Ball State University to honor internationally prominent Steinbeck Scholars and educators for nearly 30 years.
